DKBB CommissionThe David Kweksilber Big Band is commissioning a new work to be premiered at the Bimhuis in Amsterdam, April 2015. The work will take as its starting point Anthony Braxton's innovative ideas about notation and improvisation from his 1988 book Composition Notes, Volume C. Check events for more details.

Edge Ensemble Gaudeamus ResidencyThe Brendan Faegre Edge Ensemble will serve as Gaudeamus Ensemble-in-Residence for the 2014-2015 season. In this context they will give 4 concerts throughout the year, and premiere 6 new compositions written for them by young composers from around the world: Auznieks, Biedenbender, Faegre, Roos, Ushijima, and Virzi.
